Stolberg Castle Run

On 30 August 2025, running enthusiasts from the region and all over Germany will once again come together for the 7th Stolberg Castle Run. You can choose between different distances that lead through the impressive natural surroundings of the European city of Stolberg and the southern Harz Mountains. The programme included a 10-kilometre run, a 5-kilometre run or walk, a half-marathon distance and a relay race. The youngest runners took part in the 300-metre Bambini run, and a 2.2-kilometre run for everyone rounded off the sports programme. Stolberg Castle was the focal point of the sporting event and the start and finish line. 
The running event was conceived and organised by Ritter von Kempski Privathotels & Resorts, which includes the Naturresort & Spa Schindelbruch and the Hotel & Spa Suiten FreiWerk in Stolberg. "The Stolberg Castle Run is an excellent ambassador for the region. It combines the joy of sport with a commitment to regional tourism. We would like to thank our sponsors and supporters, whose commitment once again made the event possible," said Dr Clemens Ritter von Kempski, owner and Managing Director of Ritter von Kempski Privathotels & Resorts, commenting on the successful charity sporting event. The run was once again for a good cause: 3,052.50 euros will go to the kindergartens in Stolberg and Rottleberode.
